Perlis United has reportedly secured a conditional license for the upcoming Super League beginning in May surpassing Immigration FC, KL Rovers and Harini in the process. If confirmed Perlis United also known as the Northern Lions will fill the spot in the 14 teams Super League replacing Kelantan which failed to obtain a license.
The team’s return to top-tier football is anticipated by Perlis fans awaiting an official statement from the Malaysian Football League (MFL). Perlis United had faced financial issues and was excluded from the M-League in 2019. The team’s president, Shukri Othman acknowledged the information through social media but refrained from providing further comments.
