PSG Prepares for Crucial Matches Amid Mbappé Concerns

Paris Saint-Germain began their preparations for upcoming matches in Ligue 1, the Coupe de France and the Champions League amid concerns about the form and attitude of Kylian Mbappé who serves as the stand-in captain and star striker. Mbappé was substituted during their recent Ligue 1 game against Marseille which PSG won 2-0 despite being down to 10 men.

This marked Mbappé’s third consecutive game without scoring, following goalless performances in France friendly matches against Germany and Chile. PSG victory against Marseille also saw them equal Lyon Ligue 1 record of playing 21 away matches without losing between March 2005 and April 2006.

However, PSG coach Luis Enrique faced criticism for his decision to substitute Mbappé who has expressed his desire to leave the club at the end of the season. In response, Enrique defended his decision stating that as the coach, he makes the decisions for the team.
