Gunners collected 13 points in six games in the return to the UCL

A hard-earned draw against PSV Eindhoven saw Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal conclude the Champions League group stage as the leaders. Although the North London side’s spot in the knockout stage had been confirmed two weeks ago, Arteta was determined to finish the group stage on a high note.

However, PSV proved to be a formidable challenge as they are currently in excellent form, having won all 15 matches in the domestic league. Arsenal took the lead at the end of the first half through Eddie Nketiah. Shortly after the second half resumed, Vertessen equalized for PSV, much to the delight of the home fans.

The game continued to be marked by chances for both sides, but neither team found the finishing touch for the winning goal, ultimately settling for a tie.

Next up for Arsenal is a home Premier League game against Arsenal, a side that outperformed them with a 3-0 victory in the same fixture last season.
