Race for Kylian: Real Madrid’s Green Light and Manchester City’s Stealthy Approach

Reports from Spain suggest that Manchester City held informal talks with one of Kylian Mbappe’s agents a day before the forward informed PSG of his desire to leave. Real Madrid is considered the frontrunner for Mbappe’s signature with reports indicating they have the green light to sign him when his contract expires in June. The revelation of City’s meeting with Mbappe’s representative adds an unexpected twist to the situation.

According to Cadena SER Mbappe has three main representatives working on his future. Real Madrid has been pursuing Mbappe for seven years seeking a public confirmation of his intention to leave PSG. Despite previous uncertainties and conflicts with PSG, Real Madrid is now in a strong position to sign him with financial terms reportedly not a hindrance.

Manchester City could present a competitive offer but Mbappe’s motivation appears more driven by the prospects of success than financial considerations.
