Former Premier League player Chancel Mbemba faced racial abuse on social media after a confrontation with Morocco’s manager Walid Regragui led to a brawl during their Afcon clash. The match ended in a 1-1 draw with a heated exchange between Mbemba and Regragui after the game. Video footage captured the two colliding, leading to a scuffle between both teams. Mbemba faced racial abuse on Instagram following the incident. The Congo captain chose not to provide a detailed account but praised Regragui as a “great man.” Regragui explained that he asked Congo’s manager to bring Mbemba back as he was behaving erratically denying any negative intent.
