Rangers Close Gap on Celtic with Victory over Hibernian

Philippe Clement expressed his satisfaction with Rangers’ performance as they secured a 3-0 victory over Hibernian moving within five points of Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic. Ridvan Yilmaz and Todd Cantwell scored for Rangers in the first half with Cyriel Dessers adding a third goal in the second half. Despite some missed opportunities by Hibernian, Rangers dominated the game and deserved the win according to Clement.

Hibernian’s head coach, Nick Montgomery lamented his team’s inability to capitalize on key moments in the match. Rangers maintained their defensive solidity despite the absence of Connor Goldson, earning their 13th clean sheet of the season. The victory extended Rangers’ winning streak to five games. Philippe Clement emphasized the importance of effort, solidarity and humility in Rangers’ success and hinted at potential transfers in the coming week. Next, Rangers face St Mirren while Hibernian will travel to Kilmarnock.
