Real Madrid in Sight: Mbappe Brushes Off Arsenal Interest

Kylian Mbappe responded with laughter when a young Arsenal fan suggested he should join the club firmly stating there was “no way” he would join the Premier League leaders. Mbappe is expected to sign for Real Madrid in the summer when his contract with PSG expires despite taking a pay cut.

He cited the cold weather in London as a reason for not considering Arsenal as forecasts show Paris and Madrid having warmer temperatures. While Arsenal current form is impressive with them leading the Premier League and reaching the Champions League quarter-finals, Mbappe seems set on joining Real Madrid.

He has agreed to terms with Madrid including a substantial signing-on fee and an 80% share of image rights on new commercial deals. Mbappe is anticipated to wear Luka Modric’s number 10 shirt next season marking the end of Madrid seven years pursuit of the French World Cup winner.

His decision to join Madrid has been seen as a significant move in their quest to dominate European football under Ancelotti leadership.
