Real Madrid Surges to Victory, Extending La Liga Lead in Title Pursuit

Real Madrid took a significant step towards reclaiming the La Liga title with a convincing victory over Celta Vigo extending their lead to seven points. Despite missing the suspended Jude Bellingham, Madrid dominated the first half with Vinicius Jr scoring the opener.

The hosts faced some sloppiness in the second half but Celta failed to capitalize. Madrid secured the win with three late goals including Antonio Rudiger’s header, an own goal by Carlos Dominguez and Arda Guler first goal for Madrid.

The victory was crucial considering Girona and Barcelona earlier wins in the weekend. Madrid late surge alleviated the tension at the Bernabeu after a less than ideal performance against RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
