Sven-Goran Eriksson fulfilling a lifelong wish expressed after his terminal cancer diagnosis, managed Liverpool Legends in a charity match against Ajax at Anfield. The former England manager went public with his illness in January, revealing his dream to manage Liverpool.

After Liverpool’s 4-2 victory, Eriksson expressed immense gratitude for the opportunity calling it a beautiful moment in his life. Steven Gerrard captaining the team highlighted the significance of Eriksson’s presence. Eriksson also met Jurgen Klopp for the first time, praising him as a great manager.

The match drew a record-breaking crowd of 60,000, continuing a tradition that has raised millions for charity.
