Harvey Barnes and Joe Willock are progressing well in their recoveries offering Newcastle United a much- needed boost. Barnes has been out of action since sustaining a foot injury during the 8-0 victory over Sheffield United in September, while Willock has been sidelined with an achilles issue for the past two and a half months.
Although Barnes had returned to kicking balls on the grass earlier this month, he had not yet resumed group training before the winter break. Similarly, Willock who was lagging behind in his recovery had not been running as he focused on building strength in his achilles.
However, both players have recently taken significant steps forward in their rehabilitation. Barnes shared a photo of his boots with a fully charged battery emoji, indicating progress, while Willock posted a picture of his boots with the caption “Step by step,” demonstrating his incremental progress as well.
