Red Bull’s second Formula 1 team initially renamed Toro Rosso after acquiring Minardi has officially rebranded as ‘Visa Cash App RB.’ The team’s spokesperson, Bayer expressed satisfaction with the sponsorship support from Visa and Cash App emphasizing the necessity of sponsors for the team’s financial sustainability.
Previously reliant on Red Bull’s owner for funding, the team sought external sponsors to bridge the financial gap. While the renaming has faced criticism from some F1 fans, Bayer believes in the strength of the RB Racing Bull identity to withstand the change.
RB’s new team boss, Laurent Mekies sees the sponsorship as a positive development acknowledging the challenges and responsibility that come with integrating the brands into the team’s identity. Despite the renaming, Bayer aims to infuse the original Red Bull spirit adding more music and fostering a fun atmosphere within the team.
