Rodgers Stands Firm: No Key Departures from Celtic Amid Transfer Deadline Looms

Brendan Rodgers has ruled out the possibility of any key players leaving Celtic before the transfer deadline on Thursday. He confirmed that Atletico Madrid made an offer for Matt O’Riley but the club is not interested in selling him. Liel Abada is also being pursued by several English clubs on loan but Rodgers is focused on keeping his squad intact.

Despite interest in Cameron Carter-Vickers from West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Brentford, Celtic aims to secure him to a new deal. Rodgers remains hopeful of new signings before the deadline but acknowledges the challenges of acquiring quality players. Greg Taylor is sidelined with a muscle injury, adding to Celtic’s concerns ahead of their upcoming match against Ross County.
