Manchester City midfielder Rodri acknowledges the challenging task of replicating last season’s Treble success with strong competition from Liverpool, Arsenal and Aston Villa in the Premier League title race. Despite completing an impressive 52 games unbeaten run, Rodri believes this season is tougher with more contenders.
He recognizes Liverpool consistent performance under Klopp, Arsenal’s capabilities and even mentions Aston Villa and Tottenham as potential title challengers. Rodri remains confident but expects a close race until the last game. City, currently behind Liverpool in the league are still in contention for the FA Cup and Champions League.
Rodri’s unbeaten streak began after a defeat to Tottenham in February last year. Despite a Community Shield loss, City’s only other setback was Spain’s Euro 2024 qualifying defeat to Scotland. In Rodri’s absence City struggled, losing five of seven matches highlighting his significance to the team.
