Rugby Star Louis Rees-Zammit Eyes NFL Career with Kansas City Chiefs

Louis Rees-Zammit is on the brink of realizing his NFL aspirations with a potential move to the Kansas City Chiefs. The former Gloucester and Wales rugby wing has been pursuing a career in American football through the NFL international player pathway. Joining Jay Z sports agency Roc Nation indicates a significant step towards this transition.

Rees-Zammit known for his speed in rugby is expected to switch positions to running back or wide receiver in football. While signing with the Chiefs would add prestige to his journey, it doesn’t guarantee a spot on the NFL roster. Rees-Zammit is likely to participate in pre-season training with the Chiefs where he will compete for a place on the 53-man roster alongside renowned players like Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

His unexpected retirement from rugby in January took both his club and country by surprise, highlighting the secrecy surrounding his career shift.
