Saul Niguez Late Winner Lifts Atletico Madrid Back into La Liga Top Four

Saul Niguez late goal secured a crucial 2-1 victory for Atletico Madrid against Villarreal propelling them back into La Liga top four with eight games remaining. This win was much needed for Atletico after two consecutive losses jeopardized their Champions League qualification hopes.

Despite starting strongly and taking the lead through Axel Witsel header, Atletico conceded an equalizer to Alexander Sorloth after Antoine Griezmann mistake. However, Saul composed finish in the 87th minute sealed the victory for Atletico. Meanwhile, in Serie A, Inter Milan extended their lead at the top with a 2-0 win over Empoli putting them in a strong position to secure the title.
