Scott McTominay has reportedly convinced Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS Group to negotiate a contract extension with Manchester United, potentially doubling his current wages. Despite having just over a year remaining on his current deal, McTominay’s impressive performances including a goal against Liverpool have earned him renewed favor at Old Trafford.
Manchester United new football hierarchy sees him as a crucial part of the team’s future, citing his on-field contributions and exemplary attitude. McTominay’s expected new contract could see his wages increase to £120,000 a week. The midfielder’s success has also attracted interest from other clubs with previous reports suggesting a potential £45m bid from Newcastle and West Ham.
Additionally, McTominay has excelled for Scotland, earning the title of Scotland’s Player of the Year for 2023 and delivering standout performances in Euro 2024 qualifying.
