Sebastian Baez concluded his successful South American clay-court tour with a victory in the Movistar Chile Open final defeating Alejandro Tabilo 3-6, 6-0, 6-4. This follows his triumph at the ATP 500 in Rio de Janeiro the previous week. Baez expressed mixed emotions about the match but highlighted the team effort that led to this high point in his career.

With nine consecutive wins, he will reach a career-best No. 19 in the ATP Rankings. Despite a challenging start, Baez demonstrated resilience under pressure saving eight of 10 break points. His solid performance in crucial moments secured his fifth title since the 2023 season.

Baez is now aiming to qualify for the Nitto ATP Finals for the first time, currently standing fifth in the ATP Live Race To Turin.
