Shane Lowry Aims to Sustain Momentum at Players Championship

Shane Lowry enters the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass with recent strong performances, aiming to maintain his momentum. Despite a share of the lead on Sunday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, he couldn’t keep up with Scottie Scheffler the eventual winner.

Lowry now ranked 37th globally seeks to continue his ascent alongside Tony Finau and Will Zalatoris for the tournament’s first two rounds. Rory McIlroy following a disappointing final round at Bay Hill seeks redemption after slipping in the rankings.

Defending champion Scheffler, fresh off a dominant win begins his title defense with Rickie Fowler and Justin Thomas. Notable pairings include Wyndham Clark, Collin Morikawa and Brian Harman in the afternoon wave on Thursday.

Scheffler acknowledges the target on his back as the top-ranked player emphasizing the need for continued effort to maintain his position.
