Social Media Star Alica Schmidt Claims Silver in 400m at National Indoor Championships

German track star Alica Schmidt known as the ‘world’s sexiest athlete,’ secured the runner-up spot in the women’s 400m at the national indoor championships in Leipzig. The 25 years old athlete with a significant social media following finished in 52.95 seconds.

Schmidt reliant on Instagram and TikTok for income, has 5 million and 2 million followers on the platforms, respectively. Despite turning down a six figures sponsorship deal, her athletics career is thriving as she won a silver medal and contributed to a relay victory.

Schmidt a Tokyo Olympics substitute in 2021 aims to compete in the Paris Olympics. Last year she challenged footballer Erling Haaland to a race, but he has not responded.
