Spurs back on winning ways

After enduring a five-game winless streak, Tottenham Hotspur treated their home supporters to a stellar performance, securing a resounding 4-1 victory over Newcastle United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Brazilian forward, Richarlison, emerged as the unexpected hero of the match, breaking the deadlock in the first half. He skillfully connected with a cross from skipper Son Heung-Min and later doubled his tally in the second half, capitalizing on a well-placed pass from Pedro Porro.

In the initial stages of the game, Spurs asserted their dominance, and it was Italian international Destiny Udogie who opened the scoring with a remarkable effort, courtesy of an assist from Son. The latter also found the back of the net, converting a late-game penalty without any error.

Newcastle managed to salvage a consolation goal in the dying moments of the match, courtesy of midfielder Joelinton. However, this late effort failed to ignite any significant comeback for them.

With this triumph, Spurs now claim the fifth spot on the table, trailing the fourth-placed team by just three points. Manchester United follows closely in sixth place, while Newcastle remains in seventh.
