Summer Transfer Heat: Liverpool, Barcelona, And Arsenal Eyeing Douglas Luiz

Liverpool and Barcelona are both interested in Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz, according to sources. However, a move for the 25-year-old is unlikely to happen this month, with clubs eyeing a potential transfer in the summer.

Liverpool is planning to compete with long-time admirers Arsenal for Luiz during the off-season. Barcelona is also considering entering the race as they aim to rebuild their midfield. Aston Villa may face a challenge in retaining Luiz in the upcoming summer transfer window, as he will have just two years left on his contract in June. Luiz has been in excellent form this season, contributing seven goals and six assists in 30 appearances.

Arsenal had previously tried to sign him in the summer of 2022 but faced rejections. Liverpool currently leads the Premier League, while Aston Villa and Arsenal hold third and fourth positions, respectively.
