A Grade One quadruple for Willie Mullins’ stable at the Dublin Racing Festival made headlines but the spotlight was on his nephew Danny Mullins who rode the first three winners at surprising odds. Galopin Des Champs the favorite restored order with a dominant victory in the Irish Gold Cup.

Despite a close battle with the runner-up Fastorslow, Galopin Des Champs emerged victorious solidifying his position as a top contender for the Cheltenham Gold Cup. Danny Mullins’ impressive performance contributed significantly to the yard’s success with his rides resulting in surprising odds.

Mullins’ victory aboard Il Etait Temps in the Irish Arkle Novice Chase added to the stable’s triumphs despite Marine Nationale’s disappointing performance as the favorite. Meanwhile, at Sandown Nickle Back won the Grade One Scilly Isles Chase but the race was overshadowed by a fatal injury sustained by the favorite Hermes Allen.
