Teen Sensation Littler Exits Quarterfinals, Van Gerwen Continues Dominance

Michael van Gerwen secured back-to-back weekly Premier League wins by defeating Luke Humphries 6-5 in Glasgow. Despite trailing 4-2 in the final, Van Gerwen triumphed in a last-leg decider. World champion Humphries in his debut campaign aimed for his first success in the event. Teenager Luke Littler was eliminated in the quarter-finals losing 6-5 to Gerwyn Price.

Van Gerwen’s average of 93.85 was below Humphries’ 101.37 but the Dutchman was efficient on checkouts. Van Gerwen, pursuing his third consecutive title emphasized playing week by week without specific targets. The next event is scheduled in Newcastle on February 22.
