Tiger Woods has revealed the conclusion of his decades-long partnership with Nike in the world of golf.

Tiger Woods, who has been associated with Nike apparel since the outset of his professional career at the age of 20, announced his departure from the sportswear giant in a social media post on Monday. His relationship with Nike began in 1996 with a five-year, $40 million contract, which continued through multiple renewals, culminating in a reported 10-year deal worth $200 million in 2013.

Having returned to competitive play in late November following a seven-month injury hiatus, Woods hinted at his potential participation in the Feb. 15-18 Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club, signing off his announcement with “See you in LA!”

Expressing gratitude for his lengthy partnership with Nike, Woods reminisced about the remarkable moments and memories accumulated over their 27-year alliance. Nike responded to Woods’ departure with a social media post featuring a picture of Woods in his trademark red top, captioned with “It was a hell of a round, Tiger.”

Nike acknowledged Woods’ transformative impact not only on golf but also on the broader sporting landscape. They highlighted his record-breaking achievements, boundary-pushing influence, and inspirational legacy that resonated globally. Nike conveyed their appreciation for being a part of Woods’ journey and extended best wishes for his future endeavors.
