Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly eyeing a potential move for Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich whose contract negotiations with the German club have hit a snag. The 29 years old midfielder whose current contract expires next season is said to be exploring his options for the summer transfer window with Bayern facing the prospect of losing him on a free transfer.
While clubs like Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also interested, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain are not currently pursuing him. Despite Bayern’s recent domestic setbacks, Kimmich’s future with the club remains uncertain. He was involved in a tunnel altercation with Thomas Tuchel’s assistant after a recent defeat to Bochum with Tuchel himself set to leave Bayern at the end of the season.
Tuchel, reportedly eyeing a Premier League return, previously enjoyed success with Chelsea, winning the Champions League and the FA Cup before his departure in 2022. Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag’s position at Manchester United is uncertain with Tuchel rumored as a potential replacement.
