Manchester United’s Isak Hansen-Aaroen is set to depart for Werder Bremen as he sees no clear path to the first team at Old Trafford. Despite being highly regarded by coaching staff the 19 years old rejected contract offers deeming the terms unrealistic.
Although United would have been entitled to training compensation upon his contract expiration they opted to secure a transfer fee from Bremen. The deal includes significant add-ons a high percentage sell-on and future matching rights.
Hansen-Aaroen a Norway U21 international made his senior debut at Tromso at just 15 years old. While part of United’s under-18 squad that won the FA Youth Cup in 2022 he remained in the under-23 side unlike teammate Alejandro Garnacho who progressed to the first team. Werder Bremen currently sits ninth in the Bundesliga table.
