Jurgen Klopp almost quit as Liverpool manager midway through last season due to fatigue and disappointment with the team’s performance. However, his wife Ulla convinced him to stay. Klopp announced his decision to leave the club at the end of the current season citing exhaustion after nine years of success. Under Klopp’s leadership, Liverpool won multiple trophies including the Premier League and Champions League.
Despite facing challenges, Klopp oversaw a rebuild last summer bringing in new midfield signings. Liverpool confirmed their place in the League Cup final and will face Chelsea at Wembley in February. Klopp’s departure was announced before Liverpool’s FA Cup fourth round match against Norwich City.
