USGA Honors Tiger Woods with Bob Jones Award for Golf’s Transformative Impact

Tiger Woods has been awarded the prestigious Bob Jones Award by the USGA for his outstanding commitment to sportsmanship and respect for golf traditions. The award acknowledges Woods’ lasting impact on the game beyond his on-course achievements, recognizing how he has transformed the image and growth of golf.

Woods a nine times USGA champion expressed humility in receiving an award named after the legendary Bob Jones emphasizing the importance of integrity in the game. The ceremony honoring Woods is set to take place on June 12 during the US Open at Pinehurst No. 2 in North Carolina.

Past recipients include golf legends Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Mickey Wright, Ben Hogan and former President George H.W. Bush.
