Wales Calls Up Uncapped Harri O’Connor to Bolster Tight-Head Prop Options for Ireland Clash

Wales has added Scarlets prop Harri O’Connor, yet to earn a cap, to their Six Nations squad ahead of the upcoming match against Ireland in Dublin. Coach Warren Gatland faces tight-head prop issues following injuries to Leon Brown and Archie Griffin. O’Connor, 23, previously featured in the uncapped match against Barbarians in November and has represented Wales at youth levels. With limited options at tight-head, Cardiff’s Keiron Assiratti is the only fit player, as Dillon Lewis returns to Harlequins and France-based Tomas Francis and Henry Thomas are not part of the Six Nations squad after the 2023 World Cup.
