Despite recent injury setbacks, 33 yeaars old midfielder Aaron Ramsey has been included in Wales’ Euro 2024 play-offs squad. Ramsey who has had limited game time for Cardiff City due to a knee injury was initially expected to miss the play-offs due to a calf strain. However, he has recovered quicker than expected providing a significant boost for Wales.
Manager Rob Page expressed confidence in Ramsey’s fitness and praised his inclusion. The squad also features milestone opportunities for Leeds United duo Ethan Ampadu and Daniel James as well as recalls for midfielders Rabbi Matondo and Dylan Levitt.
Newcomers Joe Low, Rubin Colwill and Charlie Savage add depth to the squad reflecting Wales’ strength. However, players like Niall Huggins, Joe Morrell and Tom Bradshaw miss out due to injury while Tom Lockyer continues his recovery from a cardiac arrest suffered in December.
