The Waste Management Phoenix Open is set for a major revamp following incidents during Nick Taylor’s victory. Altercations between players like Billy Horschel and Zach Johnson and rowdy spectators led to a proposed “complete operational change” from 2025.
The Thunderbirds event hosts expressed dissatisfaction with the chaos on Saturday acknowledging the need for improvements. Plans include limiting general admission ticket sales enhancing security measures and addressing the alcohol ban’s impact.
The Thunderbirds aim to make the tournament better learning from the challenges faced during the 2024 event.
