Gary Wilson is set to face Martin O’Donnell in the Welsh Open final after a hard fought 6-4 victory against John Higgins. Wilson’s impressive performance included a 147 break securing his fifth career maximum and breaks of 104, 82 and 89. While Higgins made a comeback, Wilson sealed the win with a break of 73.
O’Donnell reached the final by defeating Elliot Slessor 6-5 showcasing composure and making a crucial century break in the deciding frame. Wilson and O’Donnell will vie for the Welsh Open title in what promises to be an exciting final.
