Wolves Sanction Loan Move for Sasa Kalajdzic to Eintracht Frankfurt

Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Sasa Kalajdzic is set to join German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt on loan for the remainder of the 2022-23 season. The Austrian international, who has struggled for regular playing time at Molineux since joining from Stuttgart in 2021, is poised to return to Germany in search of consistent minutes.
Kalajdzic’s move to Frankfurt signifies Wolves’ desire to bolster their attacking options in the January transfer window. With Fabio Silva already departed on loan to Rangers, the Premier League club is expected to bring in a new striker to complement the likes of Raul Jimenez and Diego Costa.
The 26-year-old’s loan spell in Germany provides him with an opportunity to regain match fitness and find his goalscoring touch ahead of the summer transfer window. Kalajdzic, who has been sidelined with an anterior cruciate ligament injury for much of the past year, will join his new teammates in training before the resumption of the Bundesliga after the World Cup break.
