Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty previously had eight consecutive final wins, recently faced three straight losses in their last three finals including the India Open Super 750. Their latest defeat was against the reigning world champions Seo Seungjae and Kang Minhyuk.

Despite the setbacks, the duo remains the current world no. 1 in men’s doubles. While analyzing their recent losses it’s suggested that opponents may have become more aware of their strengths, leading to increased pressure in finals.

However, the positive aspect is that Satwik-Chirag are consistently reaching finals in consecutive weeks a rare occurrence for them due to past fitness issues. The pair sees this as a positive start to the new season, expressing confidence that their fortunes will eventually turn.

The competitive men’s doubles landscape is highlighted where regular performances may be more indicative than titles and rankings. Despite the losses, Satwik and Chirag remain hungry and motivated to improve with their focus on upcoming tournaments like the French Open Super 750 and the All England Championships in March.
