Boston Celtics staged an impressive comeback from an 18-point deficit to defeat the Indiana Pacers 114-111, seizing a commanding 3-0 lead in the NBA Eastern Conference finals. Despite the absence of star guard Tyrese Haliburton due to a hamstring strain, the Pacers surged ahead, leading 84-66 with six minutes remaining in the third quarter and extending their lead to 109-101 with just over two minutes left in the final quarter.

However, Boston Celtics rallied scoring 13 of the game’s final 15 points to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Jrue Holiday played a pivotal role in the Celtics’ comeback, contributing a crucial three-point play to put them ahead 112-111 with 38.9 seconds remaining. Holiday, who battled a fever and was uncertain to play until shortly before tip-off, demonstrated his resilience by finishing with 14 points, nine rebounds, and three steals.

Despite Holiday’s heroics, it was Jayson Tatum who led the charge for the Celtics pouring in 36 points while also tallying 10 rebounds and eight assists. Jaylen Brown added 24 points to Boston’s cause, complementing Tatum’s stellar performance. Looking ahead, the Eastern Conference winners will advance to face either the Dallas Mavericks or the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA Finals.

Dallas currently holds a 2-0 series lead in the Western Conference with Game Three scheduled for Sunday.
