Giannis Antetokounmpo Shines Despite Injury

Giannis Antetokounmpo delivered a triple-double with 11 points, 12 rebounds and a season-high 13 assists leading the Milwaukee Bucks to a commanding 128-104 win over the Toronto Raptors. Damian Lillard added 25 points as the Bucks snapped a rough stretch, having lost four of their previous five games to sub-.500 teams. Despite suffering a cut on his finger that required stitches, Giannis Antetokounmpo continued to play until being rested in the fourth quarter.

Bucks coach Doc Rivers praised his leadership, saying, “He set the whole tone… When your best player does that, it becomes contagious.” Elsewhere, Zach LaVine recorded 35 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists as the Chicago Bulls rallied from a 19-point deficit in the third quarter to defeat the San Antonio Spurs 114-110. Victor Wembanyama shone in the loss for the Spurs, contributing 23 points, 14 rebounds, eight blocks and four assists.

The Dallas Mavericks missing Luka Dončić and Kyrie Irving, endured their fifth straight defeat, falling 119-104 to the Memphis Grizzlies. Meanwhile, the New York Knicks’ struggles continued as they dropped their third consecutive game, losing 103-94 to the Orlando Magic after previously winning nine in a row. Bradley Beal came off the bench to score 25 points, helping the Phoenix Suns break their four-game losing streak with a 109-99 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Sacramento Kings edged out the Miami Heat in double overtime, winning 123-118, while the Detroit Pistons secured a narrow 118-115 victory against the Portland Trail Blazers. These results highlight standout individual performances, surprising comebacks and critical wins across a night of dynamic NBA action.
