LeBron James Breaks NBA Minutes Record in Lakers Win

LeBron James made NBA history on Friday by surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most minutes played in NBA history, a milestone he reached during the Los Angeles Lakers’ 113-100 victory over the Sacramento Kings. The 39-year-old completed his 57,447th minute on court, breaking the record previously held by Abdul-Jabbar. James also scored 19 points in the win while teammate Austin Reaves led with 25 points.

Reflecting on the achievement, LeBron James attributed his success to his commitment, passion and love for the game, adding that his off-season time is shorter than most players. In other NBA action, Brooklyn Nets center Nic Claxton was ejected from the court during his team’s 101-94 win over the Toronto Raptors. Claxton frustrated by a foul, threw a ball into the crowd, prompting officials to escort him off the court.

Meanwhile, Zach LaVine had a standout performance for the Chicago Bulls scoring a season-high 36 points to lead his team to a 117-108 victory over the Boston Celtics. LaVine also contributed six rebounds and four assists, helping the Bulls secure their third consecutive win. Elsewhere, French sensation Victor Wembanyama scored 42 points to guide the San Antonio Spurs to a 133-126 overtime win against the Atlanta Hawks.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander also had a strong showing for the Oklahoma City Thunder, posting 35 points in a 105-99 win over the Orlando Magic. The Memphis Grizzlies, New York Knicks and Houston Rockets also emerged victorious in their respective games. These performances added to the excitement of another action-packed night in the NBA as key players continue to make their mark on the season.
