Luka Doncic put on an impressive performance with 32 points, nine rebounds and seven assists as the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Orlando Magic 108-85 on Sunday. Doncic’s scoring spree included 14 points in the first quarter which helped the Mavericks establish a 30-22 lead. By halftime, Dallas had extended their advantage to 65-40 with Doncic contributing 25 points in the first half including five three-pointers. “It was real fun today,” Doncic said, praising the team’s defensive efforts and pace of play.

The Mavericks continued their dominance in the second half, pushing their lead to 82-52 after Doncic’s free throw in the third quarter, ultimately leading by as many as 33 points in the fourth. In addition to Luka Doncic, Daniel Gafford scored a season-high 18 points while Kyrie Irving added 17 and Dereck Lively II recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

In other NBA action, the Detroit Pistons rebounded from a significant loss to the New York Knicks, securing a 106-92 victory against the Brooklyn Nets.

Cade Cunningham led the Pistons with 19 points contributing to a balanced attack where all five starters scored in double figures for the first time this season. Meanwhile, in New Orleans, the Atlanta Hawks triumphed over the injury-plagued Pelicans 126-111.

Jalen Johnson scored 29 points while Trae Young added 23 points and 12 assists. Brandon Ingram led the Pelicans with a game-high 32 points but could not prevent the team’s first home defeat of the season.
