Nikola Jokic delivered another stellar performance as the Denver Nuggets defeated the Sacramento Kings 132-123. The Serbian center scored 35 points, grabbed 22 rebounds and dished out 17 assists, marking his fifth consecutive triple-double. Jokic became just the second player in NBA history joining Wilt Chamberlain to record 35 points, 20 rebounds and 15 assists in a single game. However, the highlight of his performance came in the third quarter when Jokic made a remarkable 66-foot three-pointer with 1.7 seconds left on the clock.

Leading 110-85, Jokic launched the shot which sailed through the basket just before the buzzer. He downplayed the moment, calling it a “lucky shot,” but acknowledging that it helped his team. Elsewhere, the Los Angeles Lakers triumphed over the Boston Celtics in a dominant 117-96 win. Anthony Davis led the Lakers with 24 points while LeBron James contributed 20 points, 14 rebounds and six assists.

The Lakers built a 28-point lead in the fourth quarter and despite easing up, they managed to limit Celtics star Jayson Tatum to just 16 points. In a surprising result, the Dallas Mavericks upset the Oklahoma City Thunder 121-115. The Thunder leading the Western Conference were off their game with Spencer Dinwiddie scoring 28 points and Kyrie Irving adding 24 for the Mavericks.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who recently scored a career-high 54 points, posted 31 points in a losing effort for the Thunder. These games highlighted some incredible individual performances with Nikola Jokic continuing to dominate, the Lakers proving their strength over the defending champions and the Mavericks handing the Thunder only their third loss of the season.
