The New York Knicks extended their winning streak to nine games with a 119-103 victory over the injury-hit Utah Jazz. Despite missing star point guard Jalen Brunson for the first time this season due to a calf issue and backup guard Miles McBride sidelined with a hamstring injury, Josh Hart and Karl-Anthony Towns led the Knicks to victory. Towns made history as just the third player in Knicks history to record 30 points and 10 rebounds in three consecutive games.
With the win, the New York Knicks improved their record to 24-10 while the Jazz dropped to 7-25 after their fifth straight loss. In other action, Nikola Jokic recorded his 14th triple-double of the season, scoring 23 points, 17 rebounds and 15 assists as the Denver Nuggets triumphed 139-120 over the Atlanta Hawks. Meanwhile, in Detroit, the Pistons secured a 105-96 win over the Orlando Magic but the victory was overshadowed by a potentially serious injury to Jaden Ivey.
The Pistons guard, who had 22 points, injured his left leg after a collision with Orlando’s Cole Anthony and was stretchered off. The Toronto Raptors ended their 11-game losing streak with a 130-113 win over the Brooklyn Nets while the New Orleans Pelicans extended their own losing streak to 11 games with a loss to the Miami Heat.
The Washington Wizards defeated the Chicago Bulls 125-107 and the Sacramento Kings overcame the Philadelphia 76ers with a late 113-107 comeback win. The Houston Rockets bounced back with a 110-99 victory over the Dallas Mavericks.
