Anthony Joshua has revealed that he endured significant pain over the past two years as he prepares to vie for a third world championship title against fellow British heavyweight Daniel Dubois this Saturday. The 34-year-old Joshua, who will fight IBF champion Dubois, 27, expects to perform in front of a record-breaking 96,000 fans at Wembley Stadium, setting a post-war British record for attendance.

Joshua has made a strong comeback by rebuilding his career after experiencing emotional turmoil from two consecutive losses to Oleksandr Usyk. “I’ve worked hard and been through a lot of pain, and I’ve worked hard to get better,” Joshua told BBC Sport. He hopes his past struggles will not repeat and reflects on his dislike for losing and his drive to improve.

Anthony Joshua the 2012 Olympic gold medallist is currently on a four-fight winning streak and recently knocked out Francis Ngannou. He believes in his boxing abilities and has refined his skills over the past several months, noting that he can now read his opponents better. During Monday’s media day at London’s Old Billingsgate with Tower Bridge in the backdrop, Joshua and Dubois met face-to-face for the first time since June.

Joshua, who will headline a UK stadium fight for the sixth time, appeared relaxed and posed for photos with fans. In contrast, Dubois seemed eager to finish the media obligations. Reflecting on their earlier confrontation, Joshua mentioned that he had told Dubois to “stay in your lane” and emphasized that he is ready to earn respect.

With the chance to join the ranks of heavyweight legends like Muhammad Ali and Lennox Lewis, Joshua focuses on proving his prowess against Dubois. He also hints at a potential fight with Tyson Fury but remains focused on his upcoming challenge.
