“England showcased the brand of cricket everyone has come to admire,” Finn told BBC Test Match Special. Their bowlers limited West Indies to 180-4 on a batting-friendly pitch. Opener Phil Salt’s unbeaten 87 and Jonny Bairstow’s 48 not out secured a comfortable victory with 15 balls to spare, positioning them well in a group also featuring South Africa and the USA.

“This was England’s opportunity to assert themselves in the tournament,” Finn remarked. “With the exception of a few overs, it was almost flawless.” He praised their powerful batting and skillful bowling, highlighting Salt’s standout innings.
