Luke Littler Headlines 2025 Premier League Darts Line-Up

Luke Littler leads the field for the 2025 Premier League Darts with 39-year-old Stephen Bunting making his return to the tournament after a 10-year absence. Littler, who made history as the youngest-ever PDC World Champion at 17, triumphed over Michael van Gerwen in the final at Alexandra Palace. As the defending Premier League champion, Littler beat Luke Humphries in last year’s final, showcasing his skills with a spectacular nine-dart finish.

In addition, Humphries, who won the World Cup, World Matchplay and Players Championship in 2024 is also set for his second appearance in the Premier League. Bunting having reached the semi-finals of the World Championship before losing to Littler, earned one of the four wildcard spots, thanks to his strong form and ranking fifth in the world. Furthermore, joining Bunting as wildcard selections are Gerwyn Price, Nathan Aspinall and Chris Dobey while automatic qualifiers include Rob Cross and Michael van Gerwen.

Van Gerwen a seven-time Premier League champion is seeking his eighth title. The tournament will feature an exciting mix of talent and experience with players like Dave Chisnall, Peter Wright and Michael Smith missing out this year despite participating in 2024. PDC chief executive Matt Porter emphasized the importance of selecting players who can engage large crowds, explaining that popularity, stage presence and the ability to entertain were key factors in the selection process.

The 2025 Premier League will take place across various venues in the UK and Europe, starting on February 6 in Belfast. As a result, the competition is set to deliver an exciting showcase of top-tier darts with Littler and the other players aiming to leave their mark.
