Georgia Hall and Hull Charley Ready for Paris 2024 Olympics

Georgia Hall and Charley Hull will represent Great Britain in the women’s golf competition at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Hull, who competed in the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics and finished tied for seventh, brings her experience to the team. Meanwhile, Georgia Hall, making her Olympic debut, showcased her skill by winning the 2018 Women’s British Open at Royal Lytham & St Annes.

Currently ranked eighth in the world, Hull made history in 2013 as the youngest player to compete in the Solheim Cup at just 17. Her inclusion in the Olympic team highlights her continued excellence and extensive experience in international competitions. On the other hand, Hall, aged 28, has had a successful career, winning major championships and two gold medals at the 2013 Australian Youth Olympic Festival.

Mark England, Team GB’s chef de mission, enthusiastically welcomed Georgia’s Olympic debut in Paris this summer, emphasizing her history with Team GB dating back to her double gold medal win at the 2013 Australian Youth Olympic Festival and serving as the flag bearer at the opening ceremony. He also celebrated Charley’s return for her second Olympic Games, highlighting their valuable contributions to the team.

Hall and Hull will compete alongside the men’s pair, Tommy Fleetwood and Matt Fitzpatrick, at Le Golf National. The Olympic golf competition will feature 72-hole individual stroke play for both women and men. This format will showcase the world’s best golfers competing over four rounds to claim Olympic glory.

The inclusion of these talented golfers in the Olympic team underscores Great Britain’s robust presence in the sport. Moreover, fans and supporters eagerly anticipate their performances on the international stage, hoping to witness them bring home medals from Paris 2024.
