Georgia Hall Light-hearted Message to Nelly Korda

Georgia Hall sent Nelly Korda a lighthearted text message after the latter withdrew from an LPGA Tour event a few weeks ago, acknowledging Korda’s recent dominance in the women’s game. Korda, who has won six of her last seven events including a major championship, currently holds the top spot in the world rankings, with fellow American Lilia Vu trailing behind.

Hall, ranked 32nd in the world, expressed admiration for Korda’s remarkable success, believing it to be beneficial for the sport as a whole. Despite her desire to secure victories herself, Hall sees Nelly Korda winning streak as a positive force for promoting women’s golf and enhancing the visibility of tournaments and the tour.

Although Hall has been a member of the LPGA Tour for seven seasons, she has chosen not to relocate permanently to the United States. Preferring to spend time at home in the UK, Hall carefully plans her tournament schedule to balance competitiveness with personal well-being. She acknowledges the mental challenges of playing abroad and values the support of her home environment.

Looking ahead to upcoming major championships, including the US Women’s Open and the PGA Championship, Hall also reflects on her past experiences at prestigious courses like St Andrews. Georgia Hall cherishes playing alongside Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Lee Trevino at St Andrews, calling it a dream. Hall’s affection for the Old Course and her desire to succeed there once again highlight her enduring passion for the game.

Reflecting on her previous triumph at Royal Lytham & St Annes in 2018, Hall expresses her aspiration to secure another major victory at St Andrews, considering it the pinnacle of achievement in her career. Despite potential successes elsewhere, Hall believes that triumphing at St Andrews would surpass all previous accomplishments.
