Keegan Bradley Eyes Fair Play, Lively Atmosphere at Ryder Cup

Keegan Bradley, U.S. captain for the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black has warned that officials will eject unruly fans who cross the line during the tournament. Bradley expects a passionate home crowd but stresses the need for fairnes, with observers set to monitor crowd behavior. He encourages fans to be lively but remain respectful. Europe’s captain, Luke Donald supports measures that ensure fair play and insists on the importance of winning the right way.

He points out that behavior at past Ryder Cups has sometimes crossed the line but trusts that the PGA of America will enforce protocols to prevent such incidents. Bradley admits that the intense New York crowd could create challenges for the U.S. if Europe gets off to a strong start but he still expects an exciting and electric atmosphere. Looking ahead, Bradley hasn’t ruled out playing in the tournament himself.

After being overlooked for the 2023 Ryder Cup despite a strong season, Keegan Bradley remains determined to qualify as a player while serving as captain, drawing inspiration from Arnold Palmer, who served as the last playing captain in 1963. Donald also reveals that LIV Golf player Sergio Garcia, Europe’s record points scorer, has expressed his desire to return to Ryder Cup play.

However, Garcia must reapply for DP World Tour membership to become eligible after resigning last year. With potential LIV players like Garcia, Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton in the mix, Donald acknowledges the complexities surrounding their eligibility but leaves the decision to the DP World Tour.
