In total, Charlotte Dujardin has accumulated six Olympic dressage medals.
Charlotte Dujardin’s selection for the equestrian team at the Paris Games positions her to potentially become Great Britain’s most decorated female Olympian. With six Olympic dressage medals including three golds, she currently shares the record with former cyclist Dame Laura Kenny. A podium finish in Paris would secure her place at the top.
Joining Dujardin in Team GB’s equestrian lineup are Ben Maher, competing in his fifth Olympics to defend his individual showjumping title and Carl Hester, set for his seventh Games. Also included are world champion Lottie Fry and Becky Moody in the dressage squad.
The trio of Charlotte Dujardin, Hester, and Fry earned team dressage bronze in Tokyo and clinched European team gold last year, marking Britain’s first dressage team gold since the London Olympics. Maher leads the showjumping team alongside Scott Brash, Harry Charles, and Joe Stockdale.
In eventing, Tokyo gold medalists Laura Collett and Tom McEwen will compete alongside Yasmin Ingham and Ros Canter, the current world and European champions respectively. The picturesque grounds of the Palace of Versailles, nestled approximately 10 miles west of Paris will host the prestigious equestrian events during the Paris Olympics.
Athletes from around the globe will gather there from July 27 to August 6 to compete in various disciplines against the backdrop of this historic and majestic setting.
