Olympic men’s basketball semi-final, the star-studded United States team rallied from a 13-point deficit in the final quarter to defeat Serbia 95-91. Led by NBA superstars LeBron James and Steph Curry, the Americans trailed 76-63 after three quarters but surged ahead to secure victory at the Bercy Arena in Paris. Curry, who scored a game-high 36 points, described the comeback as “special,” highlighting the team’s resilience. This win keeps the U.S. on track to win their fifth consecutive Olympic gold in the sport.

Serbia, with reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokic at the helm, will now compete for the bronze medal against Germany. Despite their strong performance and a lead of up to 17 points, Serbia faltered in the final quarter as the U.S. mounted their comeback. Key three-pointers from Kevin Durant and Joel Embiid, along with Curry’s clutch shots, allowed the Americans to regain the lead and secure the win.

The U.S. team celebrated their victory with an enthusiastic crowd including celebrities like Simone Biles, Snoop Dogg and Travis Scott. Serbia expressed frustration with some refereeing decisions after the game. Earlier, France advanced to the gold-medal match by defeating Germany 73-69. The French, buoyed by a passionate home crowd, reached the final for the second consecutive Olympics.

France will face the U.S. in the gold-medal game with NBA sensation Victor Wembanyama leading the charge. Wembanyama, known for his exceptional height and skills, expressed the team’s determination, saying they are prepared to give everything to win gold, even if it means making personal sacrifices on the court.
