Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone Smashes World Record for Olympic

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, who recently celebrated her 25th birthday, has now claimed her sixth global title, continuing to dominate the 400m hurdles. Alongside Bol, she has contributed to 17 of the 20 fastest times in the event’s history. In other events, Arshad Nadeem made history by becoming Pakistan’s first Olympic gold medalist in athletics, setting a Games record with a 92.97m throw in the men’s javelin. Meanwhile, USA’s Grant Holloway claimed victory in the men’s 110m hurdles, upgrading his silver from Tokyo by beating fellow American Daniel Roberts. Another American, Tara Davis-Woodhall triumphed in the women’s long jump, adding to the USA’s impressive medal haul in track and field.
