Pierre Gasly is entering the exciting world of padel by partnering with entrepreneur Loic Fery to launch 10Padel, the final team for the upcoming Hexagon Cup. Set to take place from January 29 to February 2 at the Madrid Arena, the Hexagon Cup is quickly becoming a standout event in this rapidly growing sport. Meanwhile, padel a mix of tennis and squash is played in doubles on a smaller court surrounded by glass and wire mesh walls.

This unique setup allows players to utilize the walls for strategic shots, resulting in longer rallies and dynamic gameplay. Gasly, who has spent seven seasons in Formula 1, expressed his enthusiasm for the sport, saying, “I love this sport which shares the same competitive spirit and passion that drives me on the Formula 1 circuits.” Additionally, Pierre Gasly’s partner Loic Fery is the president of Ligue 2 club FC Lorient.

The two discovered their mutual love for padel after the Miami Grand Prix and quickly began conceptualizing 10Padel which will compete against teams owned by sports legends such as Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero and Rafa Nadal. The Hexagon Cup’s second edition will feature eight teams led by notable figures from both sports and entertainment.

Gasly emphasized their ambition, stating, “We’re here to make a mark.” The tournament showcases a unique format where elite players, categorized as male, female and Next Gen form teams under the guidance of prominent personalities. Moreover, recent reports indicate that the global padel community has surged to nearly 30 million players across 130 countries, highlighting the sport’s increasing popularity, particularly in Europe and Latin America.
